This study aims to analyze Mappadendang Dance as a form of cultural communication in the perspective of cultural actors of the Sangdipa Art Studio at Dipa University Makassar. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, this study collected data through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and documentation of studio leaders, dancers, and cultural activists who were directly involved in the performance. The results of the study show that Mappadendang not only functions as an art performance, but also as a medium for conveying cultural values that represent gratitude, cooperation, and harmonious relationships between humans and nature in the traditions of the Bugis people. The Sangdipa Art Studio plays a strategic role in preserving traditions through fostering young members, adapting performance forms to be relevant to the times, and utilizing digital media as a means of documentation and information dissemination. This research emphasizes that cultural communication through performing arts is an important mechanism in maintaining the sustainability and relevance of local cultural heritage in the midst of modernization
