Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of education and training on employee performance at the Sub-district Office of Wasuponda District, East Luwu Regency. The background of this study is based on the importance of human resource development through education and training programs as an effort to improve the competence and work productivity of government officials. This study uses a quantitative approach using observation, questionnaire and documentation methods. The analysis technique used is a simple linear regression analysis technique to measure the relationship between variables. Data were obtained by distributing questionnaires to active employees in the office. The results of this study indicate that education and training have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. The contribution of the influence of education and training on employee performance is indicated by the R Square value of 0.141 or 14.1%. This finding indicates that although its influence is not dominant, education and training remain important factors in improving employee performance. The implications of this study indicate the need to optimize the implementation of more structured and sustainable work-based training programs
